Espial's PersonalJava products power the retail industry's first web-enabled interactive point-of-sale transaction device.

OTTAWA, Canada - 16 June 1999 - Espial Group Inc, the leader in embedded Java technology, today announced that MobiNetix Systems, Inc. is using Espial's PersonalJava development tools and Internet application solutions to power their interactive point-of-sale transaction device (iPOS TC). The iPOS TC is the retail industry's first Web-enabled interactive point-of-sale transaction device.

MobiNetix Systems, Inc. (OTC Bulletin Board: NETX), a leading provider of Internet-based electronic transaction management solutions, has integrated Espial's Espial Espresso, the industry's only PersonalJava GUI toolkit and Espial Escape, a full-featured Java web-browser including JavaScript support into its iPOS TC. MobiNetix selected Espial's development tools and Internet application solutions for its superior technology and comprehensive customization features, which has enabled MobiNetix to get to market significantly quicker than its competition.
